It has been a day since our father Lawrence Joseph O’Wolf left on a daring voyage to the North American continent on a steam vessel named the Irish Rover. To be more precise he was headed to the Dominion of Canada, the western British colony of England. With the hopes to strike it rich in any of the Canadian gold rushes with luck and bring back as much wealth and prosperity to our middle class family, who all live in a log cottage located in small remote mountainous community called White Wolf Pass out in the heart of the Irish wilderness.
Being the oldest of my father’s sons at the age of 21 years old I haven taken with great pride and responsibility of leading our family consisting of my eighteen year old brother Lawrence Ambrose, and our beautiful middle aged mother Amelia.

Through the quiet rural steep mountainous city streets filled with layers upon layers of morning frost and snow few villagers roamed performing their basic routines of finding food for the family or getting new sets of clothing or getting the carriage repaired for a outing. But within the small corners of a local library Lawrence curiously wondered through out the paganism/Fantasy section when a red and black novel caught his eye “This seems interesting I wonder what it might be about” Lawrence thought to himself as he gently caressed the book between his palms having a hard but careful grip as it seemed to be quiet heavy.
